To secure your place in our diary we ask for a 50% deposit in advance and the rest of the monies are due for payment 6 weeks before your wedding day (By fax, post or email). Payment must be made by bacs and booking is only confirmed once this payment has been received and the signed confirmation slip returned. The deposit is non-refundable. January and early February bookings we ask for the final payment 6 – 8 weeks before your wedding day.
If cancellation of the cake takes place six weeks before the event then we reserve the right to keep 80% of the total price or if cancellation occurs 28 days prior then 100% of the value will be retained to cover the costs of being unable to fill this space in our diary at such short notice. Cancellation must be made in writing (by letter or email) to The Abigail Bloom Cake company and will only be deemed to take effect from the date your letter is received at our premises.
If you postpone the event, (with the exception of bank holiday weekend weddings or events which are non transferable), we will endeavour to transfer your order pending availability on the new date, otherwise it shall be treated as a cancellation.
We retain the right to cancel the booking in very unusual circumstances beyond our control, such as fire, road traffic accident, or significant staff ill health during which we will refund any money taken in full. Our customer service to you and our reputation is incredibly important to us and this would be our utterly last resort when we have no other choice.
Allergens – Disclaimer.
We cannot be held liable for any adverse reaction to our cakes if there was an allergy not identified or the severity of the allergy not made clear. We take every effort to ensure that this has been communicated over our website and on email. If any of your guests have a severe allergy that is life threatening we recommend that you go to a specialist supplier.
Dessert Tables/Crockery Hire
Please note that all dessert tables require you to normally hire the crockery from us, (you may also use your own). Should you wish for flowers, (which we highly recommend), we would liaise with your florist for this. Each item of crockery is £5 – £10 to hire and there is an additional £250 deposit. All items must be packaged up by a nominated member of your party (or the venue if they are happy to do this) and we can organise collection from a zone 1 location. Any items damaged or not in their original packaging will be charged at £25 per item. (All crockery is sourced by hand and are often one offs).
